What does it mean to know who you are, to understand the qualities that define you? How do you rediscover a feeling of home? Identity is an essential part of the way we make decisions in the world. So much of who we are isn’t determined by the benchmarks or the labels we resolve to assign ourselves. It is the transitions, the experiences that shape us. This installation represents the fragility and complexity of how we see ourselves. It illustrates the idea that it might be the softening of who we think we are, the dissolution of knowing, the feeling of being changeable that is a more clear barometer of our existence.
